Football – School Competition and Premier League

Players in Jamaica develop their early skills through a number of school’s competitions, which are run by the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association.

The top men’s club competition is known as the National Premier League, which is run by the Premier League Clubs Association, a body that is chaired by Former Prime Minister Edward Seaga.

The Premier League Clubs Association was formed in 2007 and took over the running of the country’s top men’s league from the JFF. The JFF administers the men’s and women’s national teams and receives a monthly subvention of two millions dollars from the government.
