Schoolboy Cricket
In recent times, the urban area schoolboy senior cricket competitions have been dominated by non traditional schools such as Innswood High, Eltham High and Spanish Town High.
For the 2011 season, Innswood High secured their second straight Corporate Area double by winning the Jamaica International Insurance Company knockout and the Grace Shield.
There is also an Under-14 and Under-16 competition being played at the school level.
Club cricket is also very vibrant in Jamaica, although the season is much shorter compared to former years when the league lasted for 14 rounds.
All club competitions are staged by the Jamaica Cricket Association and among them are the Super League, Senior Cup, All-Island Limited Overs, Junior Cup and Minor Cup.
